BopCons is currently a Level 2 BBBEE contributor. In terms of ownership, BopCons Employees Empowerment Trust currently owns 17.32 % of BopCons. BopCons Executive Holdings which owns 2.65 % of BopCons is a share incentive scheme for Senior Managers.
BopCons has over the past ten years been striving towards empowering previously disadvantaged people. 43 % of our Senior Managers are black. They are not quota or token managers but have earned their seniority in the company by excelling in their jobs.
BopCons also works very closely with eight emerging contractors who have been enrolled on a Mentorship Programme - Kumani Projects, K. Chakane Maintenance and Construction, Thina ZJ Construction and Projects, Tanguliza Projects (Pty) Ltd, Shodo Civils (Pty) Ltd, Senzani Sisters Construction and Projects, Megaphase Trading 441 & Kingfisher Civil Projects (Pty) Ltd. Through this mentorship Programme BopCons is able to impart its experience and skills development to these emerging companies. Although it takes years to acquire construction and business skills the mentorship programme provides a way in which these skills can be acquired at a greater speed.
