BopCons is at the forefront of delivering projects for both the public and private sector. The company, established in 1984 is a leading medium size civil engineering company in South Africa. BopCons presently operates in Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Free State, North West and Limpopo provinces but as the company grows so does the geographic footprint. We envisage expansion into new provinces soon.
BopCons employs in excess of 200 people on a permanent basis and on average in excess of an additional 600 people on a contract basis dependent on areas of work.
BopCons carries out both traditional type projects as well as design and construct type projects where we team up with a consulting engineering companies. Over the last 35 years BopCons has built up a reputation as a reputable contractor with a no nonsense approach. Numerous clients have entrusted our company with their projects and have been more than satisfied with the outcome. Hence our motto - ”Unrivalled Delivery”.
BopCons was founded in 1984 by Bryan Westcott and Andrew Vos. Formerly known as Bryan Westcott (Pty) Ltd, in 2006 the company changed its name to Bophelong Construction (Pty) Ltd and its business approach in order to demonstrate its commitment to transforming according to the needs of the country.
Initially BopCons’s main type of work involved building of parking lots and smaller type road construction. Over thirty years later with a turnover of around R 400 million per annum our expertise includes inner city BRT construction, freeway construction, township infrastructure development and new road construction.
BopCons has a CIDB grading of 9CE and is a Level 1 BBBEE contributor.
